I Am Ying Ying

Ying Ying is responsible for successful MRO quotation, planning and invoicing whilst focusing on improving internal efficiencies and the customer experience. She derives a great sense of satisfaction and achievement out of overcoming challenges, as well as from nurturing a happy and cohesive team.

How long have you worked for Jet Aviation?
I joined Jet Aviation Singapore in 2008 as a Customer Support Executive supporting MRO quotations and sales. I was later promoted to the role of Senior Manager, Quotations in 2017 and made responsible for the APAC Quotations team, which manages MRO quoting activities for Singapore and Hong Kong. Last year, my role was expanded to Senior Manager, Operations Support Office which is responsible for successful Quotation, Planning and Invoice/Billing of all MRO projects focused in improving internal efficiencies and the Customer Experience.
 

How did you come to Jet Aviation?
Prior to joining Jet Aviation, I spent five years in the manufacturing industry, working in customer support and sales. I have a deep interest in the aviation industry and chanced upon the opportunity to join it.
 

Can you briefly describe your job?
My role involves reviewing all quotations before they are released to customers, resource planning to support our activities, supporting the team if they require assistance, and also collaborating with the SAP team on system improvements and enhancements.
 

What is a typical day like for you?
Working with a team of around 20 employees.
 

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being able to overcome challenges is something I really look forward to, you always get a sense of satisfaction and achievement out of that. Nurturing a happy and cohesive team means a lot to me.
 

What are the main challenges you face in your role?
Resource management – skills matching, training takes time, familiarization with the new SAP platform.
 

What are some things you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I look forward to practicing Pilates, and spending quality time with my girls and family.
