Michael, how long have you worked for Jet Aviation?
I've been working for the company in Basel for 10 years, since September 2008.
Can you briefly describe your job?
My job at Jet Aviation is Workshop Team Leader for the Ceiling Team @H7 in Basel where we're producing Ceilings and Decorative Panels for wide & narrow body aircraft.
What one word would describe how you approach your job?
One word to describe how I approach my job would be "Diversified, versatile and varied," or abwechslungsreich in German.
Can you describe a typical day?
A typical day starts with a short meeting with my supervisor to check the progress of the different jobs ongoing and define targets to ensure customer satisfaction at the end. I like working in my shop because I feel like I'm not getting older amongst my young team.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I most enjoy about my work is translating from drawing and design into reality so that beautiful rooms emerge on the plane and the opportunity to learn something new every day.
I love translating a drawing into reality and seeing beautiful rooms coming alive. Passing on my skills makes me feel younger every day.
And what do you enjoy about working for Jet Aviation?
What I enjoy about working for Jet is that we are a global family in aviation.
What are the main challenges you face in your role?
A major challenge that I face in my role is that every plane we equip is unique, and we are all challenged in a way that never bores us.
